Gregory Paolini

Gregory Paolini is the owner and principal of Gregory Paolini Design, a luxury cabinetry and specialty millwork firm based in Canton, North Carolina, in the mountains just west of Asheville. A strong proponent of the Arts and Crafts philosophy, Gregory has built a nationally respected practice focused on timeless design, exceptional craftsmanship, and highly customized residential work.

In addition to operating a successful custom cabinet shop, Gregory is a prolific educator and author within the woodworking community. He has written dozens of articles and columns published in leading industry publications including Fine Woodworking, Fine Homebuilding, Woodwork, and Cabinetmaker. He is also the author of three woodworking books published by Taunton Press, along with several full-length instructional DVDs covering a range of woodworking topics.

Committed to preserving and advancing the craft, Gregory founded the GPD Academy, where he teaches pragmatic, real-world woodworking skills to both amateur and professional woodworkers. His educational work reflects a deep belief in knowledge-sharing as a way to strengthen the industry and ensure the longevity of fine craftsmanship.
