Amy Jones is a seasoned woodworking manufacturing professional with 14 years of hands-on industry experience, spanning finishing operations, shop floor management, and purchasing leadership. As Purchasing Manager at Bakes & Kropp, she brings a deep, end-to-end understanding of manufacturing operations and supply chain strategy, informed by years spent directly on the production floor.

Beyond her role in manufacturing, Amy is a committed advocate for workforce development and career-technical education. She serves as Chair of the Macomb County, Michigan CTE Woodworking Advisory Committee, supporting woodworking programs across all districts, and has spent more than a decade as an advisory board member for woodworking and architecture programs throughout Metro Detroit. In these roles, she works closely with educators to ensure the curriculum remains aligned with real-world industry needs.

Recognized by Woodworking Network as a 40 Under 40 honoree (2022), Amy’s passion for the woodworking industry extends to inspiring teens and young adults to pursue meaningful careers in manufacturing. Her leadership has helped modernize curriculum, expand work-based learning opportunities, and better prepare students to step confidently into key manufacturing roles.

Through her advocacy and industry engagement, Amy is helping strengthen the pipeline of future woodworking professionals—bridging education and industry to ensure the next generation is skilled, informed, and ready to succeed.
