Ashok Dastidar

Dr. Ashok Ghose Dastidar, PhD, MBA is a recognized expert in chemical process hazards, combustible dust, flammable liquids and vapors, explosion and combustion testing, and electrostatic hazards analysis. He has extensive experience in dust explosibility, flammability, electrostatic discharge and ignitability, thermal stability, and risk mitigation using HAZOP, FMEA/FMECA, and FTA methodologies. Dr. Dastidar is a member of AIChE, ASTM, and NFPA, serving in leadership roles including Chair of NFPA 91 (pneumatic transport of dusts) and Chair for chemical dust and sulfur on NFPA 660. He also serves on ASTM’s E27 committee, sits on the editorial boards of Powder and Bulk Solids and the Journal of Loss Prevention, is an Adjunct Professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and is a frequent conference presenter and published author.
