Bruce Spitz

Treasurer at Woodwork Career Alliance

A native of Wisconsin, but a current resident of El Paso, TX since 1980, Bruce holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater and held the Certified Public Accountant credentials for many years. Early careers in accounting as an Auditor and Financial Manager in Retail Accounting, a Cost Accountant and Plant Controller in manufacturing lead the way to building his own business, Classic Millwork and Products, Inc from a start up to a $4 million a year custom commercial cabinet manufacturer and installer. Bruce recently sold the business and retired from the daily duties of running the business.

While working in the woodworking industry, Bruce became involved with the Architectural Woodwork Institute as a presenter of the Advanced Estimating Seminars, became the Chair of the Education Committee, was elected to the Board of Directors and selected Treasurer of the Association and most recently held the position of President in 2018.

He fills his time now volunteering for his Rotary Club in El Paso and is on the Board of Directors for the Woodwork Career Alliance.
