Bobby Miller
Bobby Miller is a dynamic woodworking educator and a passionate advocate for building the next generation of skilled craftspersons. With over a decade of experience teaching high school woodshop at Coon Rapids High School in Minnesota, Bobby has dedicated his career to hands-on, student-centered learning that empowers young people through practical skills and real-world woodworking projects.
An EDUcation member of the Woodwork Career Alliance of North America, Bobby’s instructional philosophy focuses on experiential, project-based learning that connects fundamentals with creativity and craftsmanship. His approach not only equips students with woodworking proficiency, but also inspires curiosity about careers in the skilled trades.
In recognition of his leadership and commitment to woodworking education, Bobby was appointed to the Board of Directors of the National Woods Board (NWB)—a non-profit organization advancing woodworking workforce training and bridging the gap between education and industry. In this role, he brings a teacher’s perspective to national efforts in developing scalable woodworking curricula and expanding career pathways for students across North America.
Bobby’s work extends beyond the classroom, where he champions woodworking as both a craft and a career opportunity.
